Council - Goals and Activities
Potential activities include:
- Represent the voice of youth living with disabilities by participating in local, state, and national committee meetings that involve activities and services for youth. Committees may include: The National Communities of Practice on Transition, the Wisconsin Community on Transition, the Youth Development and Leadership Practice Group, the Juvenile Justice Re-Entry Practice Group, the Self-Advocacy Practice Group and Wisconsin Statewide Transition Initiative meetings and the Wisconsin Transition Conference.
- Serve as advisors to the WSTI project which includes training that is done in school districts across Wisconsin
- Serve as advisors for wsti.org website
- Serve as advisors for the annual Wisconsin Transition Conference.
- Participate in and help develop leadership and training opportunities.
- Participate in monthly conference calls with other youth board members
